The Story of Easter- Gwen Ellis

Just like the "story of christmas" this book does an awesome job of sharing the story of easter. They start from the beginning and work their way through to the death and ressurection of Christ, at a child's level.
I personally love how they have the bible verse location for each part of the story and prompts at the end of each to add conversation to the end.
I am definately a big fan of these books. A must read, in my opinion. Love them!

"Saving Cicada's" - Nicole Seitz

When single mother Priscilla finds out she's having another child unexpectedly, she packs the family into the car to escape. Eight-year-old Janie and Rainey Dae, her seventeen-year-old sister with special needs, embark on the last family vacation they'll ever take with the girls' grandparents joining them on their adventure.

I had a little trouble getting through this book. I"m not sure why, I don't know if it was just lack of intrest or if it's because I couldn't follow the story. Everyone has their own opinions of books and mine is that in order for me to get a better understanding, i'd probably have to read it again.

Go ahead and read it yourself and see how You like it.

The Story of Christmas by Gwen Ellis

"The Story of Christmas" is about the birth of Jesus. It starts with a little about the birth of John and the starts telling a step by step story of how the angels came to Mary and Joseph, telling them they would have a son, that would be called Jesus and that he would be the Savior of the World.
The beginning of each section has the Title and Verses indicating where in the Bible that particular section of the story is told. After each section, on the bottom of the page where the story ends is box that gives prompts for further discussion of the story, if wanted.
This book is great for all ages and gives a very clear understanding of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The added DVD gives a better understanding of the story for the younger, non-readers and for those who would rather 'watch' something instead of reading. Great Book!
